Spec Verification
We systematically review all components to make sure it matches what the seller advertised in their listing. Its very common for sellers to unintentionally list specs that are inaccurate…for example a 4060 Ti 16GB when in reality it could be a 4060 8GB. This can be a difference of a few hundred dollars. Other items such as memory, SSD capacity and CPU can all make a huge difference in performance as well as the overall value.
Visual Inspection
We treat your sale the same way we would treat our own purchases. We visually inspect systems for exterior damage, missing components, signs of heat damage, liquid damage, cockroach infestation etc. Even if a system turns on…a system can appear to be ‘fine’ and ‘normal’ when something could be failing. When you are excited about a gaming system it can be easy to overlook something that could be a deal breaker and the best time to ask questions is when the seller is right there!
GPU Testing
We put the GPU through a stress test and push it to render scenes that run the gpu hot to detect any signs of failure. This is import as a failed GPU can still sometimes post and display the windows desktop and appear to be error free but the moment you run a game…the problems can quickly show up.
Battery Health
If you are purchasing a laptop or gaming laptop, its important to understand the health of the battery as some batteries may be at the end of their life or may only be charging to 50% of their designed capacity. A failing battery is something you want to know pre-purchase because finding out later can cost you.
SSD/HDD Health Testing
We use software to read the SSD/HDD S.M.A.R.T. info to determine the storage health. A failing SSD/HDD can become a big issue…especially if you are using the system to run your business. We can verify SSD/HDD health at the time of purchase.
Memory Testing
A bad piece of memory can cause corrupted data and a system that does not post. Our memory testing will ensure there are no problems with the system memory and you have an all clear for the sale.
